Flying home to Tennessee after doing my first shoot with Pantheon Productions in San Francisco left me time to reflect and wonder about my first porn. Would it be good enough? Would it make the garbage can after a few good laughs by the producers? Would I even get my picture on the back cover? All kinds of thoughts went through my 51-year-old head.
Soon after the shoot I was visiting my favorite city in the USA, that being New Orleans, and was at the Phoenix Bar one evening talking about my latest adventure with manager Clint Taylor, a seasoned Pantheon Model. I told Clint how much fun I had and that if Pantheon decided to use my footage, would he show it on his big screen in the bar one smoky, Saturday night? He just smiled, slapped me on the back and said “sure thing”. That was all that was said.
During the following weeks, I kept visiting the Hotoldermale site wondering if something might show up about the video and one day it happened! Sure as life itself, there I was, not only in the video but on the Fucking front cover! After catching my breath I decided to do what I enjoy the most, have a good cigar and a cold beer and just enjoy the moment.
A week or so later I called my old buddy Clint in New Orleans and told him about the video and he, of course, said let’s get to ball rolling on a date to play the video in the bar. I was excited as hell!
One Friday evening in late January a couple planes landed in New Orleans and the Bear Population grew by three. Ford Holland, Mark Bishop and Max Ryan all arrived in the “Big Easy” for a weekend of fun and promoting the new Bear Season video. Friday night at the Phoenix Bar far outdid my expectations. As the three of us walked in, we didn't know what to think. To our surprise, there were posters of the video up all over the bar and a huge banner of the video cover on the wall of the bar!
For a Friday night, the bar was more crowded than usual as Clint met us and told us to have a good time and mingle with the crowd. As folks started to recognize who we were, the questions began. ”What was it like to shoot a Porn?”, “Were you nervous?”, “Where did you shoot it?”, “How long did it take to shoot?”, “Was it fun?”, “Wow, you look just like the guy in the video!”, There were lots of questions about cigar play and how the video was put together. The night was greater than we expected as Clint showed the video two times through.
The weekend at the Phoenix was the same weekend the Saints beat the shit out of the Vikings to gain a their first trip to the Super Bowl. It could not have happened at a more celebrated time in my favorite city, New Orleans, Louisiana, the “Big Easy”, where I had my first taste of a life in porn.
I hope y’all like Bear Season. And if you haven’t already heard, Pantheon featured me in their next bear release “Bear Plumbing Inc.” where they let me have my way with Rob Thomas, Kegan Daniels, and Robert Elephante. Can’t wait to screen it at the Phoenix!
